Determined to get to the bottom of a case and stay on top of every lead? Join our team of experienced investigators today.
At PhotoFax, you won’t be dealing with a massive corporate structure: our managers have all been PhotoFax investigators themselves and understand the daily tasks and challenges you’ll face. With multiple employees boasting over 15 years at the company, PhotoFax is a place people stay due to our supportive culture and commitment to employee development.
PhotoFax stands out as one of the only national surveillance providers that equips all investigators with custom surveillance vans offering significant cost savings, peace of mind, and enhanced physical safety for our team.
No need to budget for repairs or maintenance. No risk of employment gaps due to vehicle issues. And all ownership costs — fuel, insurance, and tolls — fully covered.
By covering ownership costs, annual repairs, and the initial expense of surveillance conversion, PhotoFax provides an estimated savings of $28,000 in an investigator’s first year of employment.
Custom surveillance vehicles allow investigators to remain covert, decreasing the likelihood of being confronted by the claimant, neighbors, or other onlookers.
In addition to competitive pay, PhotoFax offers a performance based year-end bonus plan for all of its field investigators. Additionally we offer:
Paid training and mentoring
Paid sick time
Matching 401k
Health insurance
with the option for Vision and Dental
Competitive salary

Paid vacation time
Fast track career program
If you’re looking to advance in the world of claims, law enforcement, or within PhotoFax, we have three distinct career paths to pursue.
As a PhotoFax employee, you can become a Field Operations Manager, Desktop Investigator, or Sales Executive. You can also take on more responsibility in areas like unmanned surveillance, recruiting, or mentoring new employees.
Insurance carriers and Third-Party Administrators rely on Special Investigations Units (SIU) and adjusters for in-house investigations. As a PhotoFax investigator, you’ll be on the fast track to securing one of these roles in the future. Our Fast Track Program provides paid classes and training to help you earn your Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification.
Our investigators have successfully transitioned to roles in local and state police departments, the DEA, Border Patrol, and the FBI. Surveillane experience is often helpful to secure one of these roles. PhotoFax provides the tools and knowledge you need to pursue a rewarding career in law enforcement.
